Steven Gerrard in Nathan Patterson Rangers transfer response as Ibrox boss says 'respectable' offers will be considered

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard insists he's not aware of any offer for Nathan Patterson - but "respectable" bids will be considered for his Ibrox stars.

The young right-back is believed to be the subject of a £5million offer from Everton, who are keen to bring the 19-year-old to Goodison Park.

Patterson has been understudy to James Tavernier at Ibrox, with his only appearance of the season comiong in a Premier Sports Cup rout of Dunfermline.

However, he's a player Rangers see as a huge prospect for the future and the manager insists he's not been made aware of any offer.

Quizzed over the reported offer Gerrard said: "Not to my knowledge.

"I'm sure the right person will tell me if that's the case and if there's truth in it.

"I hear a lot of noise and a lot of rumours. A lot of talk about a lot of our players.

"The only people I listen to in this situation are Ross Wilson and the board. If any bids land and they're respectable then we'll discuss them."

Patterson has made just 17 appearances for Rangers, but has been earmarked as a future first-teamer for several years.

He's been capped twice by Scotland, including an appearance against Croatia at Euro 2020.
