Steven Gerrard in line for Rangers award treble as PFA Scotland Manager of the Year nominees revealed

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard could scoop an awards treble after picking up a nomination for PFA Scotland Manager of the Year.

The Premiership-winning gaffer is up against St Johnstone's Callum Davidson, David Martindale at Livingston and Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn.

Gerrard scooped the SPFL Manager of the Year on Friday to alongside his Scottish Football Writers' Association Manager of the Year prize with his side one game away from an unbeaten league season.

But he faces stiff competition to make it three awards from three.

Davidson has led Saints to the Betfred Cup and could complete an incredible domestic double if his side overcome Hibs in next week's Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

Martindale re-energised a struggling Livi side into a stunning 14-game unbeaten run earlier this season, reaching the Betfred Cup Final only to lose out to Davidson's team by a single goal.

McGlynn, meanwhile, could yet secure back to back promotions with Raith.

He led them out of League One last season and they could yet reach the top-flight via the play-offs despite losing a semi-final first leg to Dundee this week.

The winner will be announced on Sunday, May 16.
