Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has reacted brilliantly and shown his true colours when asked his opinion on Gareth Bale's imminent return to Tottenham.
The Wales international is set to return to the Premier League seven years after leaving north London for the Spanish capital and it's the talk of the town across the Premier League.
Managers from across English football and beyond have been asked their thoughts about Bale's return, with it being a major topic on the agenda.
However, Gerrard responded how any Liverpool fan would when asked for his views on the Bale transfer.
Especially with the other big transfer story that is unfolding this week.
Gerrard told reporters: "I think it's a fantastic coup for Tottenham, you're talking about a world-class individual but, to be honest with you, I'm more excited about Thiago.
"He's the one that has got me with butterflies in my stomach.
"My focus down there is Liverpool, not Tottenham, but it's a fantastic coup.
"Gareth Bale is world-class, you don't want to see players like that sitting on the bench, frustrated by not playing, you want to see these players live, playing again.
"I'm sure he'll add an awful lot to the Premier League.
"But the butterflies in my stomach will be about Thiago.
"Sorry about that!"
