Steven Gerrard fired Leeds United 'good team' warning ahead of Aston Villa clash

Ex-Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has warned his former club of the challenge that Leeds United pose at Elland Road.

Leeds have collected seven of their eight points in the Premier League on home turf, while only Tottenham (12), Manchester City and Arsenal (nine each) have registered more home points than the Whites this term.

In his view, Elland Road has become a fortress for Leeds and Agbonlahor is concerned as Villa prepare to travel to West Yorkshire ahead of Sunday's clash.

"It's a big game," Agbonlahor told talkSPORT on Thursday. "Gerrard getting the win against Southampton, he is going to be demanding they go to Leeds and beat them.

"[They] beat them last season [at Elland Road]. But Leeds, they aren't a team you want to play at Elland Road. They are looking like a good team this season."

Leeds may fancy their chances to ending a run of three games without a win against an Aston Villa side, who are yet to register a single Premier League point on the road.

Steven Gerrard will also have to contend with a number of injuries, as Boubacar Kamara and Lucas Digne have joined Diego Carlos on the sidelines.
