Steven Gerrard ends isolation period as Rangers boss is spotted after missing Celtic clash

Steven Gerrard has been spotted out and about for the first time since Rangers were rocked by Covid chaos.

The Gers manager was forced to sit at home for matches against Alashkert and Celtic while a handful of players also missed the two key fixtures.

His assistant, Gary McAllister, took the team for those games but now Gerrard has been allowed out of his self-isolation.

The Light Blues said at the time: "Rangers can confirm that during our testing schedule, we have received positive COVID-19 tests.

"Those identified as positive are now in self isolation along with ‘close contacts’."

But two weeks have now passed and Gerrard went a stroll with family as he took son Lio to school for his first day.

Sharing a snap on Instagram the Liverpool icon wrote: "First day for my little mate" and then he shared more photos of a 'post-Covid catch-up' with business partners.

It comes as Ianis Hagi faces the potential of TWENTY days in isolation after testing positive for coronavirus on international duty with Romania.

The attacking playmaker could miss up to five matches as he sits out.
