Steven Gerrard calls for Ross County investigation into Rangers incident as he brands first half flash point 'serious'

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard expects Ross County to deal with an incident he described as a 'serious issue' at the end of the first half of the game in Dingwall.

The Ibrox manager and his players were raging as they left the pitch at the break after an incident which saw Michael Gardyne booked.

It's unclear exactly what was said after a poor tackle from Iain Vigurs on Alfredo Morelos but Connor Goldson was incensed by the incident and had words with referee John Beaton and his fourth official.

Gerrard spoke to Beaton at half time and was clearly annoyed but refused to say what was allegedly said, and insists it is down to County and Stuart Kettlewell to deal with.

He said: "I only heard what my own players were saying, I didn’t hear what came out of the Ross County player’s mouth.

"But what I’m hearing from my own players is a serious thing and it’s for Ross County and the officials to deal with, not me.

"It’s not my business, it’s for Stuart Kettlewell to deal with. If Stuart Kettlewell hears what was coming out of my player’s mouth, I’m sure he’ll want to deal with it because it’s a serious issue."

The Ibrox side moved 14 points clear at the top of the Premiership table.
