Steven Donaldson murder accused 'facilitated' meeting with ex before attack

A woman accused of murdering a former boyfriend “facilitated” a meeting with him before he was brutally attacked, a court heard yesterday.

Prosecutor Ashley Edwards QC said Tasmin Glass, 20, and her co-accused Steven Dickie, 24, and Callum Davidson, 24, had each played their part in “a concerted, murderous attack” on offshore worker Steven Donaldson, 27.

She said Glass “facilitated and brought about” a meeting with Steven in Kirriemuir, Angus, that was followed by an assault on him.

In her closing address, Edwards said a plan was set for June 6 last year that was set in motion and culminated “in the brutal murder of Steven Donaldson”.

The prosecutor told jurors at the High Court in Edinburgh she believed all three accused played their part and were responsible for the murder.

Edwards said: “The Crown’s position is that the accused were acting together from beginning to end, acting together in what is known as concert, that they were part of a common criminal purpose. If you hold, as I ask you to do, that they were acting together, then each is responsible for the actions of the other.”

She added: “The plan was a murderous plan throughout, from inception through carrying out, to the brutal and unequivocal result.”

Glass, Dickie and Davidson, from Kirriemuir, deny murdering Steven.

The trial continues.
