Rangers midfielder Steven Davis admits he'll consider hanging up his boots for Northern Ireland after their clash with Italy on Monday.
With 130 caps for his country, Davis is the most capped British international of all time.
The 36-year-old has made 18 appearances for Rangers so far this season though he has been rested by Steven Gerrard for recent clashes with Aberdeen and Ross County.
His Ibrox teammate Allan McGregor hung up his international gloves in 2019, citing a need to look after himself physically.
And now Davis admits he will consider doing the same after Ian Baraclough's team finish their World Cup qualification campaign with clashes against Lithuania and Italy in the forthcoming break.
He said: "At the end of every campaign you sit back, reflect and see how you feel physically and how you see things progressing.
"That will be the same situation this time, I will just reflect on things and we will go from there."
Northern Ireland cannot qualify for the World Cup but the meeting with Italy at Windsor Park will still be a big occasion for Davis' side.
But when asked if it would be a fitting way to sign off from international duty for good, Davis said: "I am not thinking about that at this moment in time, I am just here this week to do as well as I can and try and get two good results.
"The Italy game is a great one for us to look forward to to finish off the campaign and test ourselves against them - that is all my focus is on at this moment In time."
