Steven Adams waits to greet returning service member at airport

Steven Adams gave one service member the surprise of her life.

When Hurricane Dorian moved up the eastern seaboard earlier this month, it wreaked havoc on South Carolina. The weather caused the cancellation of Private Estoria Christopher’s graduation from Basic Training and subsequent Family Day.

On the day she was flying back to Oklahoma City, Adams just happened to be at the Will Rogers World Airport and waited for her alongside her family.

Her family posted a photo of the pair on Facebook, along with the caption:

Steven Adams of the OKC Thunder happened to be at the Will Rogers World Airport when Private Estoria Christopher “Prasuhn” arrived home from Basic Training. He was so sweet to wait for Private Christopher to arrive. He helped the family welcome her home! After Hurricane Dorian played havoc in South Carolina which resulted in a cancellation of graduation and family day…. this kind gesture made for many smiles! Thank you Steven Adams!

The Thunder will hold their media day on September 30 and begin training camp in Oklahoma City on October 1.
