Steven Adams voted ‘toughest in the NBA’ by league GMs

It might be a new season, but for Steven Adams, this is nothing new.

The Oklahoma City big man was once again selected as the toughest player in the NBA as part of a survey of the league’s general managers.

It’s the third consecutive season that Adams has been tabbed as the toughest player in the league.

Adams was the overwhelming choice this year pulling in 32% of the vote. Rounding out the top four were Draymond Green (18%), P.J. Tucker (14%) and LeBron James (7%).

The 18th annual NBA GM survey, reported by NBA.com’s John Schuhmann, asks the “league’s decision-makers to make their best guess” regarding 50 questions about the “best teams, coaches, fans, and offseason moves.”

Last year, Adams received 33% of the vote.

Per NBA.com, the percentages reported in the survey are based “on the pool of respondents to that particular question, rather than all 30 GMs”, also noting that GMs are “not allowed to vote for their own team or personnel”.

Clearly, Adams is gaining a reputation and garnering some respect from the rest of the NBA.
