Steve Young makes bizarre declaration about Steelers vs Ravens and Lamar Jackson

We all understand that this game is being played in less-than-ideal circumstances. But the game still has to be played. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are playing nearly a week late thanks to the outbreak of COVID-19 positives on the Ravens. This includes Baltimore starting quarterback Lamar Jackson who will miss the game.

Such is the nature of playing football during a global pandemic. But don’t tell former NFL quarterback turned NFL analyst Steven Young. He made the most baffling declaration about this week’s game and the availability of Jackson.

“A playoff-implication game between the Ravens and the Steelers, in my mind, is a game without Lamar Jackson — needs to be canceled,” Young said. “You cannot play that game without Lamar Jackson.”

Wait, so is Young trying to say this game shouldn’t be played because Jackson isn’t in it? Did he care the Denver Broncos had to play without a quarterback? This is a ridiculous take. Teams are forced to play without players every week due to injury. How is this any different?

Let us know what you think about Young’s comments.
