Steve McManaman reveals key thing that will affect Liverpool v Tottenham

Liverpool legend Steve McManaman has revealed what he believes will be a deciding factor in this weekend's pivotal Premier League clash between Liverpool and Spurs.

The Reds currently sit one point clear at the top of the league, but current champions Manchester City have a game in hand.

Any slip-up against Tottenham would hand Guardiola's City the initiative as Klopp looks to help Liverpool to their first ever title in the Premier League era.

Both teams have had several players away on international duty, and McManaman believes that the way in which they recover from this will be a deciding factor in the match.

Premier League injury news: How your club is shaping up after international break

"The way Liverpool play, the way Tottenham play, it's going to be on TV, I presume, on Sunday," said McManaman,

"A lot of it depends on how everybody comes back from the international period, a lot of lads have travelled far distances.

You need a bit of luck with people coming back fit and well without being injured. You hope everybody comes back alright and may the best team win."

Several key players were in action over the break for their countries, including Sadio Mane, Harry Kane and Virgil Van Dijk.

Liverpool talisman Mo Salah was left out of Egypt's squad for games against Nigeria and Niger as the forward had a break from the action.
