Steve Lansdown gives his verdict on Bristol City's season and Lee Johnson's performance

Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown has issued a rallying cry to supporters ahead of the final Championship game of the season.

In a brief video released on the club's social media channels on Saturday the former Thornbury Grammar School pupil also gave his thoughts on the season as a whole.

In essence, Lansdown is happy with the season and is excited for the game at Hull as the Robins look to end the campaign on a high note.

And the 66-year-old has now called on fans to play their part at the KCOM Stadium.

"I'm very, very pleased really. We've had 46 games in the season and to have all of them mean something including the last one is all you can ask for really," said Lansdown.

"The guys have performed really well this year and Lee has performed well as a manager this year.

"We come to the end of the season still with all guns blazing and hoping for the best," explained the Guernsey based billionaire.

Turning his thoughts to the trip to Hull, Lansdown is excited at being in the mix for sixth place in the Championship with one game to go.

"The last away game of the season is always a good day out anyway, the fans make sure it is," he explained.

"But to go there there with the possibility of making it to the play-offs, and to possibly be there if that happens, then yes you have got to be there if it happens. And it's just exciting to do it.

"The more people there the merrier," added Lansdown.

The club owner has called on the fans to play their part.

"We need as much support as we can on the day," he said.

"As much noise as we can behind the team as much as we can because there's no doubt about it and we've said it time and time again and it's true: the fans inspire the players," he said.
