Steve Kerr says Steph Curry is ‘probable’ for Friday’s rematch with Clippers

Prior to playing the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, Steph Curry tallied 92 total points in his previous two games. However, Patrick Beverley and the Clippers limited the six-time All-Star to a season-low in scoring on Wednesday.

With the Clippers in town, Curry was held to only 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting from the field. The two-time Most Valuable Player couldn’t get into a rhythm from beyond the arc, drilling one 3-pointer on six attempts in 35 minutes.

In the fourth quarter, Curry exited the game early after rolling his ankle. The Golden State point guard will only have one off day for treatment on his ankle before the Clippers come back to Chase Center on Friday for the second contest of a two-game series.

According to Steve Kerr, Curry and four other members of the Warriors were “partial participants” at Golden State practice on Thursday.

He told me he’s feeling pretty good. It was just a light tweak. We had a very light practice. Steph [Curry], Draymond [Green], Kelly [Oubre Jr.] and Andrew [Wiggins] all just walked through some things early in the practice. And then went and got treatment when we got into a little bit of court work. They were all partial participants.

In a post-practice presser with members of the media, Kerr said Curry is “probable” for Friday night’s tilt against the Clippers.

With a history of ankle injuries, the Warriors will likely be extra cautious with the 32-year-old guard early in the season. If Curry is sidelined, Brad Wanamaker, Kent Bazemore and Damion Lee could see increased minutes in Golden State’s backcourt rotation against the Clippers.
