Steve Kerr optimistic Kevin Durant will return vs. Sixers

As the Golden State Warriors prepare for Saturday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Steve Kerr remained optimistic the all-star forward return to action against the Sixers after nursing a thigh contusion.

"I think so," Kerr said after Friday's practice. "He looked good in practice and we'll see how he looks when he gets to the arena.

Durant injured the thigh in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Miami Heat. However, the 10-year forward finished the game, scoring 21 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

Durant previously missed the team's preseason finale against the Sacramento Kings, opening up time for guard Nick Young, who scored 15 points.
