Steve Kerr didn’t notice that Draymond Green was hurt right in front of him

The Golden State Warriors lost Saturday’s game to the Rockets, and they also might be without Draymond Green for an extended period.

Green injured his ankle in the second half after stepping on the foot of teammate DeMarcus Cousins. Green didn’t appear to twist anything, but he pulled up in serious pain and then fell to the ground.

Steve Kerr just happened to be the last person to notice that Green was hurt — despite it all occurring right in front of him.

After stepping on Cousins’ foot, Green fell to the floor directly in front of Kerr. The Warriors head coach was watching the play develop and was so zoned in that he didn’t realize Green at his feet. It was an odd scene.

The Warriors coaching staff was checking on Green, but it took Kerr several seconds to look down and see Green.

To Kerr’s credit, though, he was genuinely concerned about Green when he did notice the injury. It just takes a lot to break Kerr’s focus.
