Steve Keim told Kliff Kingsbury to make sure Larry Fitzgerald is involved in offense

It appears everyone in around the Arizona Cardinals and the NFL is thrilled that receiver Larry Fitzgerald has decided to return and play in 2019. While he had a down year in 2018, something experienced by everyone on the offense, he really hasn’t lost much.

With new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, he should be highly involved in the offense.

In fact, that is more or less the mandate from general manager Steve Keim.

“(Fitzgerald is) a guy that still to this day, regardless of age, speed, athleticism, he still catches that ball and the crowd chanting ‘Larry, Larry,’ that gets the place going,” he said in this offseason’s first episode of Cardinals Flight Plan. “I told Kliff early in the process we’ve got to find a way to get him the ball early and often.”

If things go as planned, Fitzgerald could and should have another season like he had from 2015-2017, when he caught at least 107 passes every year, setting a career-high and also leading the NFL in catches one year.
