Steve Cooper's Swansea City transfer admission as Wolves, Bristol City and Brighton men must be replaced

Steve Cooper admits he's keen to recruit replacements for each of the three players Swansea City have lost this month.

Viktor Gyokeres, Morgan Gibbs-White and Kasey Palmer have all been recalled by their parent clubs since the turn of the year, leaving Swansea desperately thin on cover in attack.

Having lost Steven Benda to injury, the Swans brought in goalkeeper Ben Hamer from Huddersfield Town, although they are yet to sign any outfield options.

It's understood they are keen to bring in Aston Villa and Republic of Ireland international Conor Hourinane on loan while Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris is also a transfer target.

And Cooper admits Swansea need to bring in reinforcements having lost three men already this month.

When asked if he's hopeful of doing business in the coming days, the Swansea boss responded: "Those are the hopes. I'm always hoping. It's important to say, we've lost three bodies. It'd be nice to replace them and maybe more, who knows.

"If we don't then we'll carry on with our work. What's important this year is that this is a season for adapting.

"We're trying to do work and we'll deal with things as they come."

The January transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday, February 1.
