Steve Clarke loses 4 Scotland stars as he faces sweat ahead of Denmark clash

Depleted Scotland will be without John McGinn as the Aston Villa star will remain in isolation for the crunch World Cup qualifier with Denmark.

And Steve Clarke doesn't have his problems to seek with Nathan Patterson in a similar position and Celtic pair Greg Taylor and James Forrest pulling out due to injury.

Clarke was already without Stuart Armstrong and Scott McTominay as he faces some big decisions on who should start in midfield against the Euro 2020 semi finalists.

Scotland have five points from their opening three games but they face pivotal away tussles with the Danes and Austria - which is sandwiched between a home clash with Moldova.

The race to Qatar will be clearer after these three fixtures as Scotland aim to reach a second consecutive tournament after a 21-year absence.

Scotland will head out to Copenhagen and no update has been provided on potential late call-ups with Clarke set to go with what he has.
