Steve Bruce has shut down takeover talk ahead of the visit of Chelsea tomorrow.
The Magpies boss was faced with fresh questions on the situation after the club released a carefully worded 221 statement on Thursday.
But he insisted he must keep his game face on and while he acknowledge he and his staff were aware of fresh rumours of Saudi Arabia's PIF returning to the table, not to mention talk of Rafa Benitez coming back as boss, Bruce steered away from the subject.
Bruce said: "I have enough on my plate with Chelsea coming to town.
"I have made my stance pretty clear on it.
"Takeover talk, I'm not involved in it and I don't really want to get involved in it.
"I have seen it of course but I don't want to comment on it, I'm sorry."
