Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce made some big changes to his line-up for the home clash against Spurs.
The Toon boss started with Sean Longstaff in the engine room and restored Dwight Gayle to his attack.
Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy and Emil Krafth also started but there was no place for Ryan Fraser, Joe Willock or Ciaran Clark.
Isaac Hayden is out for the rest of the season after an injury at Brighton.
And Allan Saint-Maximin had to be content with just a place on the bench with Callum Wilson not deemed fit enough to start.
