Steve Bruce's win ratio compared to his Newcastle United predecessors

Newcastle United's defeat against Tottenham Hotspur leaves the Magpies second bottom of the Premier League with pressure mounting on Steve Bruce.

Fans made their feelings clear towards the Newcastle head coach throughout the second-half as the Magpies trudged to another defeat.

The Toon are without a win in all competitions this season and fans have been left wondering where the next three points will come from.

Newcastle face a trip to Crystal Palace next weekend followed by a difficult game against Chelsea and a trip to Brighton after that.

Following yesterday's defeat against Spurs, Bruce's win ratio at Newcastle stands at 29.2% - the worst during his entire managerial career.

So how does his record compare to that of his predecessors?

Chris Hughton boast's the best win ratio of any permanent Newcastle manager since the 1992-93 season followed by Kevin Keegan in second place.

It'll come as no surprise to Toon fans who still hold Hughton in high regard after his contentious sacking in 2010.

Bruce has the fourth worst win percentage as Newcastle boss, ahead of John Carver 15%, Joe Kinnear 22.2% and Steve McClaren 22.6%.
