Steve Bruce's future and why are Newcastle fans the way they are? Send a message via our survey

ChronicleLive is the reason Newcastle fans are negative according to Steve Bruce.

Whether you agree or disagree with the Newcastle United manager's explosive comments, this is your chance to test that theory and address a number of key issues surrounding the club right now.

A poor start to the season has been compounded by an anonymous club statement, uninspiring transfer activity and controversial comments by the manager in the media.

On the pitch Newcastle are conceding an average of three goals a league game, despite operating with five at the back. Key man Callum Wilson looks set to miss the next clutch of games and they are out of the Carabou Cup.

It's hard to be positive and pressure is mounting ahead of a huge Friday night showdown with fellow league strugglers Leeds United.

Our last big survey generated an incredible 14,000 responses from concerned Newcastle United fans back in March when the club reached a dangerous crossroads following an embarrassing capitulation away to Brighton.

A clear message was sent by those 14,000 respondents, with 95% calling for managerial change, while 92% felt Newcastle would be relegated with Steve Bruce in charge. To his credit, Bruce found form and Newcastle comfortably avoided the drop after an almighty scare in early 2021.

We're still asking the big questions six months on: should Steve Bruce stay in charge and will the club be relegated if he does remain in the dugout?

This is also your chance to qualify Bruce's theory that fans "are they way they are" because of perceived negativity by ChronicleLive's Newcastle United reporters.

We're also keen to hear what you think the potential of the current squad is after 97% of you told us that it is weaker 12 months on.

We invite fans to talk about any positives at the club currently and you can send a message (be nice) to the manager via the survey too.

We want you - our readers - to tell us what you think.

Take the survey above and be heard. If it doesn't show automatically, please click HERE to launch it.
