Steve Bruce has revealed the reality of his out of window signing Florent Indalecio.
The former St Etienne bad boy has been handed a contract until the end of the season to prove himself with the Newcastle United's reserve side.
Indalecio was released by the Ligue 1 club after building up a troublesome reputation behind the scenes.
The forward joins Peruvian 21-year-old Rodrigo Vilca in Chris Hogg's second string.
But when asked about 23-year-old Indalecio, Bruce said today: "He’s going to be with the academy and see how he develops. He’s got a bit of talent.
"We signed a kid from Peru as well. It’s one for the future.
"We’ve decided to take a bit of a gamble on him and see how he gets on this year."
Indalecio arrived on Tyneside this summer for a trial after a stint at Fraser Park FC in Australia.
