Steve Bruce has reflected on the return of fans to St James’ Park.
The Newcastle United boss endured some boos despite the win over Sheffield United but also had some well-wishers near the dugout.
And Bruce took the step of saying “thank you” to one fan who made his way down from his seat.
Bruce then applauded fans on the lap of appreciation.
He said: “It was great to see fans back in. It’s a different spectacle.
“As I’ve said from day one, I won’t be everyone's cup of tea, unfortunately, but that’s the way it is.
“Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is the way it is unfortunately.”
