Steve Bruce recalls three youngsters from loans in EFL

Newcastle United have recalled three youngsters from loan stints in the EFL.

Winger Tom Allan, who made his first team debut last season, goalie Jake Turner and midfielder Jack Young are all back at Little Benton following spells in the lower leagues.

A United statement read: "Allan returns from League One side Accrington Stanley, while goalkeeper Turner and midfielder Young have been recalled from League Two sides Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers respectively.

"All three will return to the Newcastle United Academy to rejoin Chris Hogg’s Under-23 squad."

Steve Bruce is currently reviewing loan options and there is a possibility a clutch of youngsters will head out again this January.

Bruce knows he has to trim his senior squad down and the likes of Achraf Lazaar, Henri Saivet and Christian Atsu are all being offered to clubs around Europe.
