Steve Bruce makes another 'clarity' appeal to Premier League over Newcastle United takeover

Steve Bruce has again called for clarity from the Premier League on where Newcastle United stand on the takeover front.

This is Bruce's second public plea in the space of five days with the decision still in the top-flight's outbox.

It is now over four months since the takeover bid from Amanda Staveley, the Reuben brothers and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund saw the deal enter the Premier League's owner's and director's tests.

Since Bruce's call to the Premier League last week for an end result on the situation a fresh round of speculation on when the deal will go through.

Bruce said: "We need all need clarity on that.

"I do, the club does, everybody does.

"We can then all take stock on that if that happens.

"If it doesn't we just have to prepare the best we possibly can."

The Premier League have refused to comment on the situation with Richard Masters insisting the process must remain "confidential".
