Steve Bruce labels reports of Allan Saint-Maximin bust-up 'nonsense'

Steve Bruce has denied any type of fallout with Allan Saint-Maximin in the build-up to Newcastle United’s FA Cup clash with West Bromwich Albion.

The Magpies winger started the game at the Hawthorns after only be used as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Bruce claimed on Saturday that it was Saint-Maximin that had complained of “soreness” in his leg.

But the winger started the game, and Bruce answered questions on the claims of a fallout before the game.

He said; “The facts are Allan has twice done his hamstring since he’s been at the club. He wasn’t great with it, didn’t train on Sunday.

“He trained on Monday.

“ All of the nonsense we have to read about is total nonsense.”

Saint-Maximin has been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last two weeks.
