Steve Bruce has no regrets about letting DeAndre Yedlin leave Newcastle

Steve Bruce insists he does not regret allowing DeAndre Yedlin to leave Newcastle in the January transfer window.

The Magpies gave the United States international away on a free transfer as he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on January transfer deadline day.

United now only have Emil Krafth fit at right-back after Javier Manquillo suffered an ankle injury in the win over Southampton last weekend.

When asked his thoughts on the right-back situation, as well as giving Yedlin away, Bruce said: "Look, he was out of contract, and we had three right-backs at the club.

“So, you know, we made the decision.

“You have to make decisions.

“We had to make way for somebody else to come in.

“I’ve got no regrets.”
