Steve Bruce has left Newcastle United by mutual consent as the new owners now press ahead for a replacement in the dugout.
The Magpies are 19th in the Premier League and without a win this season - meaning any manager who comes in is going to have to first get the club out of the danger zone.
Eddie Howe and Paulo Fonesca have been strongly linked with the job but it will be Graeme Jones in charge for this Saturday's game against Crystal Palace.
