Steve Bruce hopes that Newcastle United can now secure new contracts for Sean and Matty Longstaff after tying Martin Dubravka down to a long-term deal.
Bruce says that talks with the brothers are ongoing but he remains hopeful that the club will be in a position to announce their futures soon.
The Newcastle head coach said today: "With the two of them, Lee Charnley is in discussions.
"They have the same agent. The discussions are with the agent.
"These things don't take one day anymore.
"With Martin, it was the best part of two-and-a-half months.
"We're quietly confident we'll get there.
"They are two young lads with a big future and I hope we can tie them up as best we can."
Matty Longstaff's deal will be over at the end of the season and he can also start talking to European clubs from January.
Clubs from abroad could pay as little as £400,000 in compensation for his services.
Sean Longstaff is tied down long-term but an improved deal is being talked about after a rapid rise to the first-team XI.
Bruce added: "When we have been speaking with Lee Charnley for the last few weeks on the squad and where we see it fit, Martin was one of those and I know Lee is in discussions with two or three others.
"Martin has a had a wonderful few months since I have been at the club and in that respect I am delighted.
"I only looked from afar when I wasn’t here, but in the few months I have worked with him he is a very good goalkeeper.
"It is essential for any big club to have a good goalkeeper, that is the number 1 position and we are delighted to have tied him down."
