Newcastle United have been handed a welcome boost ahead of Saturday evening's Premier League encounter with Chelsea.
The two teams are separated by 13 points in the table and will go into the game at St James' Park on the back of victories.
It finished 4-1 to the Magpies on Tuesday night as they overcame Rochdale in their FA Cup third round replay, while the Blues beat Burnley 3-0 last weekend to boost their top four hopes.
Trips to St James' Park has been a mixed bag for the west London outfit in recent seasons.
In the corresponding fixture last term the visitors needed a DeAndre Yedlin own goal to win 2-1 and the season before they were beaten 3-0 which turned out to be Antonio Conte's final league game in charge.
The reverse meeting at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season finished 1-0 to Chelsea with Marcos Alonso scoring the only goal of the game in the second half and Frank Lampard will be hoping for a repeat result.
That won't be easy as the Magpies have beaten Manchester United and held reigning champions Manchester City at home this season, whilst also beating Tottenham Hotspur away from home.
And there's good news for the hosts ahead of the game.
Allan Saint-Maximin looks set to be in contention to make his first Premier League appearance since the beginning of last month when United beat Southampton 2-1.
The Frenchman has missed the last eight games in a row across all competitions with a hamstring problem.
But he's taken to social media and delivered a brilliant update.
In a video uploaded to his official Twitter account, the winger can be seen dancing and the caption reads: "When you no longer feel any pain."
Saint-Maximin arrived at Newcastle in the summer and despite not having the best record in terms of goals and assists, he can be a difficult opponent with the ball at his feet.
In 12 Premier League appearances this season he's attempted 4.5 dribbles per game - via Whoscored - and it could be a long evening for the Blues right-back on Saturday should the 22-year-old return to the Magpies starting line-up.
With that said, Dwight Gayle, Javi Manquillo, Jack Colback and Paul Dummett look set to miss out against Chelsea through injury.
