Steve Bing's ex Lisa Bonder spoke to Liz Hurley hours after his death to support kids

Steve Bing 's tragic death has brought his exes together.

Lisa Bonder and Liz Hurley vowed to unite to support their children as they spoke within hours of his death.

Steve died on Monday when he jumped from his Los Angeles apartment, reportedly taking his own life after a battle with depression.

He shared daughter Kira Kerkorian, 21, with tennis player Lisa and son Damian Hurley, 18, with actress and model Liz.

Lisa has revealed that she and Liz will be working together to support their kids, who will both inherit millions from their late father's estate.

She told The Sun : "I spoke to Elizabeth last night and we are going to address this tragedy for Steve's two children and try to protect them in any way possible, we will do everything in our power and make sure they are supported.

"It is a tough time for them. Liz and I are as one on that. It is never easy for a child to lose a parent in such a tragic manner.

"Kira is a student in Los Angeles, at UCLA. I broke the news to her of Steve's death on the phone."

Retired tennis pro Lisa, who dated Steve in the 90s, said she and her daughter had formed a stronger bond with Steve in the two years before his suspected suicide.

They had decided to build their relationship for the sake of their daughter.

She said she last spoke to her ex in April, and that she was not aware of his mental distress.

It's reported that Steve took his own life after becoming depressed during the coronavirus lockdown about his lack of human contact, although there's no clear evidence at the moment that this was the reason behind his actions.

Liz, who dated Steve for 18 months between 2000 and 2002, paid tribute to Steve yesterday.

Sharing a string of photographs of them together on Instagram, she wrote: "I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end.

"Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter.

"In the past year we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news and I thank everyone for their lovely messages"

Steve leaves behind a £482 million fortune, which will be inherited by his two children.

The film producer was best known for writing Kangaroo Jack. He was 55.
