Steve Bing's last girlfriend Mary Bozkurt has broken her silence to clear up rumours about the Hollywood producer's alleged battle with drugs, 'devil worshipping' and family frictions.
Bing jumped to his death from his Los Angeles apartment on June 22 at the age of 55. He left behind son Damian, 18, from his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley, and daughter Kira, 21, who he welcomed with ex Lisa Bonder.
Bing's former partner Mary Bozkurt - who he dated in 2019 - has admitted she is 'heartbroken' by a number of allegations that have emerged about Bing in the two months since his death.
It comes after Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss claimed she had "pulled Steve out of drug dens after he shot up and began worshipping the devil".
Mary insists Steve was not 'worshipping the devil' as Fleiss alleged.
She told Page Six : "Steve was mad at God for so much tragedy that goes on. His death was not about partying or the ugly side of a Hollywood lifestyle as many articles suggested.
“Steve was in a lot of pain and the drugs were a destructive means of escape for him.
"He hated everything about drug use, and he made several efforts to recover. Steve was trying to get help," she added.
Mary said Bing visited psychologists, doctors and addiction experts in a bid to recover before his death.
She said the father of two spiralled in December last year after suffering with 'overwhelming addiction and suicidal thoughts'.
Mary was also clear to point out that the filmmaker 'loved' his children despite reports he had no relationship with his 18-year-old Damian.
"He never had a nurturing upbringing, and [regretted] his broken relationship with his children.
"He loved Damian and his daughter, Kira."
Damian, who signed a contract with IMG models this month, is Steve's only son - though the American businessman initially denied being Damian's father.
His claims were retracted when Damian's actress mother Elizabeth Hurley took Steve to court and Damian's paternity was confirmed.
Following his father's death, Damien has shared his gratitude to the support he has had from his fans and loved ones.
Taking to Instagram, the teen shared: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has reached out following the devastating news.
"I'm trying to reply to as many of you as I can, but please know I will always remember your kindness.
"This is a very strange and confusing time and I'm immensely grateful to be surrounded by my phenomenal family and friends."
