Steve Apostolopoulos makes $6 billion bid to buy Commanders

Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder received a bid of $6 billion from the Josh Harris-led group on Tuesday, matching his asking price for the team. Another player has joined the mix, however.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopoulos has also put in a fully funded bid of $6 billion to buy the Commanders, the second such offer on the table for Snyder to consider.

Schefter added that with two submitted bids, a purchase agreement “could be in place by the NFL Draft,” which begins in just a month.

Apostolopoulos founded the private equity venture fund, Six Ventures Inc., and is the managing partner and president of Pickering Developments.
