Stereophonics' Kelly Jones to headline Manchester's O2 Apollo on solo UK tour

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones has announced details of a solo UK tour.

He'll head to Manchester's O2 Apollo on July 2 as part of the run of intimate shows.

The tour sees him play classic songs by the group, covers and solo tracks by Jones.

He says: "I'll be performing some old songs, lots of songs I don't normally do, some new songs and songs that have inspired me.

"The tour is about overcoming things and moving on from obstacles and building strength from that. I am looking forward to performing with some new musicians and creating some beautiful moments."

Fans can expect to hear the likes of 'Dakota', 'Maybe Tomorrow', 'Handbags & Gladrags' and 'Have A Nice Day'.

Plus he'll also play songs from his solo debut album 'Only the Names Have Been Changed', which features 10 tracks recorded during outtakes of the production of Stereophonics' sixth album.

As part of the Welsh rock group he's sold more than 10 million albums and six UK number one albums.

This upcoming tour also heads to the likes of Sheffield, Birmingham and a home country show set for Cardiff.
