Pre-sale tickets for two big Stereophonics homecoming gigs in 2020 were made available today (Wednesday, September 25) - but fans have been left annoyed after a website reportedly crashed.
The band are performing at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 .
But while early tickets were were made available to fans who had an exclusive pre-sale code, many were left upset when the website hosting the ticket sales appeared to crash, leaving them without tickets.
One user said: "Absolutely gutted and disgusted with @SandbagLTD with the @stereophonics presale. Website crashing trying to get tickets in the basket and when I do crashes on payment screen. Now receiving an error that my code is no longer valid as I didn't complete the transaction in time!"
Fans who pre-ordered the band's new album, Kind, before 4pm on Tuesday, September 23, were given an exclusive code via email, which included a link to the presale, which was hosted by website SandbagLTD.
According to the Stereophonics website, the pre-sale code allowed fans to buy a maximum of four tickets to one show, and did not guarantee tickets.
Fans were able to access the site from 10am on Wednesday, September 25, but have been met with trouble, claiming the website does not have the capability to process such a high volume of demand.
People reported waiting over an hour before purchasing their tickets, and that was after the website crashed, forcing many to rejoin the queue and lose their tickets.
Fans also reported that once they made it through the virtual queue they were only able to purchase single tickets.
Stereophonics and SandbagLTD are yet to reply to fans about their concerns.
SandbagLTD are a merchandise company that has been operating since 2002, their website says they provide artists with "innovative products, their global touring, retail, licensing, VIP and pre-sale ticketing and all of their e-commerce campaigns."
We have tried to contact SandbagLTD for comment.
Customers who are planning on purchasing tickets from the general sale have no reason to worry as SandbagLTD are not the provider of this sale.
Tickets for the general sale are available on Friday, September 27, from 10am.
