Stereophonics are playing an intimate festival warm up gig at a Welsh theatre

Welsh rockers Stereophonics are coming home to Wales for an intimate warm up gig at a theatre.

Ahead of the festival season and huge outdoor shows, the Cwmaman band will perform at Venue Cymru in Llandudno , on Friday, May 24.

The band released their 10th studio album, Scream Above The Sounds last year and have been touring and performing to sell-out crowds across the globe.

This summer sees Stereophonics performing at This Is Tomorrow Festival, Westonbirt, Eden Project and Lytham Festival.

They're also playing a huge one-off gig at Swansea's Singleton Park on Saturday, July 13 to mark the 20th anniversary of their seminal concert at the city's Morfa Stadium.

Last year they performed to sell-out audiences in the UK via various festivals and a 15-date arena tour, the latter featuring summer  homecoming gigs in both Wrexham and Cardiff .

The band will be joined by Tony Kirkham for live shows.

Tickets to see The Killers at Cardiff Castle sell out in 10 minutes  

It comes after the news that front man Kelly Jones will be embarking on his own solo tour , including a stop in Cardiff.

He plays St David's Hall, Cardiff on Saturday, June 8.
