Steps plotting major comeback as they plan to 'give back to loyal fans'

Iconic pop band Steps have been plotting a major comeback to 'give something back' to loyal fans.

The Tragedy singers, consisting of Ian 'H' Watkins, Lisa Scott-Lee, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer and Lee Latchford-Evans, want to celebrate their 25th anniversary next year in a huge way.

Plans include outdoor shows, more new music and many more surprises for fans.

"There's plenty in the pipeline that's new," Lisa explained. "Big plans are already in place for that. I can't say that much or I'd get in trouble."

She continued to The Sun: "It's nice to keep a bit of mystery, but we like to keep it fun and give back to our fans who have been so loyal over the years.

"We've never really done festivals. I'd love to do one so maybe we will get a chance to put on our own. Who knows!"

Steps recently released their sixth studio album, What The Future Holds, in 2020.

They also collaborated with Drag Race icon Michelle Visage for the track Heartbreak In The City earlier this month.

Around the same time, Steps announced a deluxe edition of What The Future Holds.

It will be released as their seventh studio album and titled What The Future Holds Pt.2.

Steps launched in 1997 with their line-dancing classic 5,6,7,8.

They had 14 UK top-10 singles and three multi-platinum albums all within a three-year period.

Their albums Step One, Steptacular, Buzz, Tears On The Dancefloor and What the Future Holds all reached the top five in the UK charts.
