FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ The stepmother of actress Lindsay Lohan is accused of kicking a police officer during an apparent drunken tirade, according to a Delray Beach police arrest report.
Kate Major Lohan, 33, who has two children with Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's father, was arrested early Saturday, records show.
Kate Lohan denied intentionally hitting the arresting officer, in a phone call Monday.
"I got totally beaten up," she said. "I was trying to protect myself. I was trying to comply."
Pictures she sent to the Sun Sentinel show bruises on her arms, legs, torso and face.
She said officers were taunting and laughing at her.
"I've been harassed since moving down here in 2011," Kate Lohan said.
The arrest stems from an argument where Michael Lohan refused to let Kate Lohan, his estranged wife, stay at his home because she was heavily intoxicated, police said.
Michael Lohan said everything was fine between the couple and that the two weren't in a fight. He said he was only annoyed with her drinking.
At about 1:25 a.m., officers arrived at the home on Via D'Este to find Kate Lohan yelling and apparently drunk, according to her arrest report.
As an officer talked with Michael Lohan inside his home, police said Kate Lohan stood outside, threatening to throw a bag of ice at another officer's face, something she denies.
She then took a "fighting stance" and started screaming when she wasn't allowed to go into Michael Lohan's home, according to the report.
Patio lights of nearby homes flickered on as curious neighbors peeked outside to see the commotion, police said.
Police arrested Kate Lohan when she tried to lunge past an officer to get into Michael Lohan's home.
As that officer walked the screaming Kate Lohan back to her patrol car, she kicked the officer in her leg, according to the report.
After being booked into Palm Beach County Jail, she was released later Saturday on a bond of $3,000, the records show.
Kate Lohan said the truth will come out in court.
She was arrested in 2015 for allegedly scratching Michael Lohan during a domestic feud. Also last year, Michael Lohan was accused of assaulting her during another domestic dispute.
