Stephon Gilmore appreciates Davante Adams’ abilities. Gilmore, the New England Patriots’ top cornerback, expressed high praise for Adams on Monday on Twitter.
Against Gilmore and the Patriots during Week 10 in 2018, Adams finished with six receptions on nine targets for 40 yards and a touchdown. It was a relatively solid outing, considering Adams ended the season with 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns.
This isn’t Gilmore’s first open compliment for Adams. After the divisional round win in the playoffs last postseason, Gilmore told Patriots Wire that Adams was his toughest mark of the season. Unfortunately, the Gilmore and Adams won’t get a rematch for the foreseeable future. The Packers aren’t the Patriots schedule for 2019.
