New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore was the ninth overall player on the NFL’s “Top 100 Players of 2020” list. In a list voted on by his peers, it certainly speaks to how highly they think of him.
Gilmore took to Instagram Wednesday to share his thoughts on being honored. The 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is looking to have a stellar season, especially with several key Patriots defensive players opting out.
With the Patriots having the toughest schedule in all of football, Gilmore will certainly have his work cut out for him from beginning to end.
It remains to be seen if he can continue to perform at a high level. One thing is for certain, his peers around the league are expecting nothing less.
