Stephen Wardrop: Livingston man who went missing after leaving work nine months ago has been found

A Livingston man who went missing after leaving work one afternoon nine months ago has been found.

Stephen Wardrop (48) vanished following a shift at the Sainsbury's supermarket in Almondvale Retail Park on Sunday, 19 May 2019. He was reported missing by his worried family five days later.

Police carried out searches in West Lothian and a number of public appeals were launched in a bid to establish his whereabouts. Officers also investigated a possible sighting of him at Bathgate Gala Day last June, but were unable to trace him.

However West Lothian Police have now confirmed that Mr Wardrop has been found a number of miles away, with officers thanking all who helped in their efforts.

They said: "Police Scotland can confirm that Stephen Wardrop, reported missing from the West Lothian area, has been traced in the south of England. We would like to thank the public for their assistance in the last nine months."
