To chronicle three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry’s momentous year, his Unanimous Media ,in collaboration with Religion Of Sports, will release docuseries Stephen vs. The Game on Facebook Watch this spring.
Fans know the products of Curry’s training: the seemingly super-human shots from distance, the wins for his Golden State Warriors, the awards. But the world has not seen up close and in detail the hard work Curry invests to stay in peak condition — until now.
Stephen vs. The Game promises an “unprecedented” look into Curry’s life and, as one of the most recognizable basketball players in the world, training is obviously a big part.
But basketball is not Curry’s singular devotion, so the docuseries will also glimpse into other important areas of his life, like family and religion. With the focus of the six-episode series covering the last year, director Gotham Chopra had plenty of material to work with, including Curry winning his third NBA championship, and Curry and wife, Ayesha, having their third child and first son.
Of the docuseries, Curry said:
This past year has been an incredible chapter in my life — from the birth of my first son to winning a third championship — and we’ve been capturing it all. “This series is deeply personal, providing an in-depth look into the pivotal moments from the last year and exploring everything that is important to me.
Stephen vs. The Game also includes “never-before-seen childhood footage” of the superstar along with “behind-the-scenes footage from his 2018 NBA championship run.”
