The Ellen Show's Stephen 'tWitch' Boss ' widow Allison Holker has been praised for the strength she has exuded over the past five months by a famous actress and close friend.

Jenna Dewan, who is best-known for playing the leading role in 2006 dance movie Step Up, has praised the mum-of-three for the strength she has shown her family.

Ellen DeGeneres' co-host, Stephen, died by suicide in December 2022 at 40 years of age.

Jenna spoke to Page Six at the Mental Health Gala in Hollywood on Friday (May 12), with her opening up about how we are "all going to go through tragedy" as well as "moments of darkness".

Referring back to Allison, she added: "Going through all of that while also being a mother really hits home to me and I am very protective of her and her family."

The actress then added that she wants them to feel "loved and supported" they are by "this entire world who was touched by ‘tWitch’ and is touched by Allison and her family".

Stephen is known best for DJing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which is something he started doing in 2014.

The beloved DJ remained with the show until it ended last year, with him made an executive producer on the show two years prior in 2020.

Five months ago it was announced that the beloved TV personality, husband and father took his own life after battling depression.

Stephen's widow recently spoke to Hoda Kotb on the Today show, with her sitting down with the host on May 3.

Allison, who married Stephen in 2013, opened up about her husband's passing candidly, with her addressing the stigma that surrounds talking about suicide.

"He wanted to be strong one for everyone," she told Hoda, adding: "and I think that was a little scary for him to think that he might need to ask for help."

She went on: "There’s a large stigma that comes with (suicide). I just think we need to find a little bit of grace."
