Stephen O'Donnell transfer latest as Middlesbrough 'line up' move for Kilmarnock star

Middlesbrough are the latest team to be reportedly eyeing up Kilmarnock star Stephen O'Donnell.

The Daily Mail claim the English Championship side are 'lining up' a move for the right-back with the 27-year-old out of contract next summer.

O'Donnell has been instrumental for Killie since arriving at Rugby Park in 2017 with the defender earning a call up to the Scotland team last season.

A number of clubs have been alerted to his availability with his deal running down and Jonathan Woodgate's side are the latest team to enter the fray.

O'Donnell started his career at Partick Thistle, before spending two years in England with Luton Town and then moving back up north to the Ayrshire side.

The former Aberdeen youth player was linked with a move to Celtic in the summer but nothing materialised.

O'Donnell has been an integral part of a Kilmarnock defence that have kept seven clean sheets out of their last eight matches under Angelo Alessio this season.
