Stephen Mulhern's In for a Penny contestant crashes car during game

Disaster struck on Stephen Mulhern's In for a Penny as a contestant crashed into the side of a car during one of the games.

Stephen was back travelling the country with his unique brand of games, challenging unsuspecting members of the public for a chance to win £100.

One of the games on tonight's show saw people in Southampton attempt a reverse bay park.

While most people succeded it all went terribly wrong for one contestant.

Paulina was asked by Stephen if she'd ever had a car accident.

She explained how she once drove into the side of a bridge, but Paulina said she was confident she could do a reverse bay park.

But it all went wrong when she started turning the wheel.

Stephen covered his eyes while one of the producers shouted at Paulina: "Stop, stop, stop"

But it was too late as Paulina hit another car.

Viewers heard a crunch as she scraped past the other car.

Stephen said: "You're going to have to leave a note".

Paulina, who didn't appear too fussed said: "It's only a little scratch."

But Stephen was adamant that Paulina wrote a note explaining what happened, rather than drive off.

He said: "We've just seen you do it."

Meanwhile, viewers at home were in hysterics over the chaos.

Gavin tweeted: "Oh my god, she's banged a car."

Stephanie wrote: "She hit the other car!!"

And Mariam said: "Omg this is ALL @StephenMulhern fault #smashedcar."
