Stephen Kingsley to Hearts could be done after the deadline with deal back on following change of heart

Hearts could do a deal to sign Stephen Kingsley after the transfer window closes.

The former Hull City left back has been training with formative club Falkirk and reportedly knocked back a move to Tynecastle last month.

But the deal could now be back on, although Robbie Neilson has to move one or two players on before midnight tonight in order to free up some of his wage budget.

Aaron Hickey’s departure to Bologna leaves Ben Garuccio and Aidy White as the left backs on the books, but Kingsley would be an upgrade and Neilson is keen to get him in the door if it all possible.

Falkirk are keen to sign Kingsley as well, and there is interest from England, but the Scotland Under 21 international is keen to remain north of the border.

“We’ve got a couple that we’re interested in, if things move the way we hope they will today then it’s a possibility,” said Neilson.

“But if it doesn’t happen then I’m more than happy with what we’ve got.”
