Stephen Kingsley reveals Hearts agreement with Robbie Neilson over contract talks

Stephen Kingsley has agreed with Robbie Neilson to put his Hearts contract talks on hold.

The summer signing has been a smash hit at Tynecastle as he continues to impress in his debut season at the club.

Kingsley has been a scoring threat from left back and fans are desperate for him to extend his stay in Edinburgh.

But the Scot has agreed with Hearts boss Neilson the best thing course of action is to address a potential new deal after the festive period.

He said: "My sole focus has been playing these games. I didn’t want to cloud anything and the gaffer even agreed with me that it’s the best thing to do.

"In January and February, that’s when things will hopefully get moving and we’ll be deciding what we want to do. That’s where we’re going to be in the next month or two.

"I just want to focus on doing the best for this team and dealing with that stuff later. I’m in a really fortunate position. I’m here until the end of the season, which is amazing, so I can take it as it comes.

"I’m genuinely loving every second of it, and have been since the moment I walked through the door. That’s why I want to focus so much on doing the best out there, because I want to repay the fans, the club, for giving me the opportunity. I genuinely couldn’t tell you how much I love it."
