Republic of Ireland Stephen Kenny has slammed UEFA for handing Scotland a more favourable fixture list in the Nations League group next summer.
Scotland were drawn against the Irish, Armenia and World Cup playoff semi-final opponents Ukraine in a group which will have six games being played.
But former Dunfermline boss Kenny is unhappy at the scheduling which sees Ireland having to trek to Armenia in between playing Ukraine and Scotland at home and then head off again to Kiev to play Ukraine in a hectic ten-day period in June, while Scotland have two home games followed by two away games in Ireland and Armenia.
Kenny said: "I think it is only ourselves and Armenia that have those double trips.
"UEFA seem to be favouring the top seeds in relation to Ukraine playing Scotland and Ireland in the one trip.
"And Scotland have two home games to start.
"We have been given a tough schedule of matches, the way it has turned out. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t make us any less determined to get positive results.”
Scotland start with two Hampden matches against Ukraine and Armenia before travelling to Dublin and Yerevan. They end the campaign in September against Ireland at home and Ukraine away.
